    Brian Ashin, MSW, completed certification as a sex therapist during the prior year. As a member of The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, he has been treating individuals and couples with sexual issues as part of his general adult practice.     Fernando Colón, Ph.D. presented "Secrets and Lies in Family System Therapy" at the 11th Annual Cultural - Diversity Conference in New Brunswick, New Jersey on May 3, 2002.

    Emily Jernberg, Ph.D. presented on Theraplay at Wayne State University's Merrill Palmer Institute on March 1. She was an invited speaker on Post-Institutionalized Toddlers at the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health on April 2.
    Dr. Jernberg is scheduled to present at the National Attachment Conference in Costa Mesa, California on October 18. The topic is Attachment Strategies for Adoptive Parents.

    Lori Lichtman, Psy.D. (Formerly Lori Mikol) presented "Dealing with Young Children's Aggression" to the Mothering Arts group (part of the Midwifery Arts Center), a group of parents with new babies. Dr. Lichtman is a psychologist working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.

    Mary Whiteside, Ph.D. was awarded the Certificate in Family Business Advising with Fellow Status by the Family Firm Institute at its annual meeting in London, October 2001.
    In October she presented "Parenting Agreements for Young Children - What Does the Research Say?" to the Michigan Interdisciplinary Professional Association in Southfield, Michigan.
