She is trained in EMDR as well as psychodynamic, family systems, CBT, and interpersonal psychotherapy modalities. Clinical psychologist whose practice includes individual, family, and group therapy. She has particular interest in women's relationships and development, eating disorders, and substance abuse issues. She works extensively with adolescents and their families and has special training in short-term treatment. (Participates with BCBS Community Blue and MESSA) Emily Jernberg, Ph.D. Licensed clinical psychologist whose practice includes children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her particular interests include attachment and loss, adoption, school difficulties, parent-child relationships, couples treatment, and adults in transition. In addition to using more traditional techniques, she trains and has published on Theraplay, an upbeat, intensive therapy that provides new ways for parents and children to approach relationships. His ways of working draw from cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and psychodynamic orientations. He often aims to foster coping and communication skills among clients of any age. With children and adolescents, he utilizes play therapy. With families or individuals, he helps explore and rework patterns of behavior in one's current, original, and extended families. He is co-author of Helping Transfer Children: Strategies for Educational and Social Readjustment (Jossey-Bass, 1992). Craig Washington, Jr., MD Psychiatrist whose practice includes the psychiatric evaluation and treatment of adults. Special interests include anxiety disorders and difficult to treat depression. Her practice includes therapy with families, couples, and individuals; divorce mediation and mediation of post-divorce disputes; and consultation with families in family businesses. She is a Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and has a Certificate in Family Business Advising with Fellow Status from the Family Firm Institute.
